As a result of the rising threat from the very contagious Covid-19 Delta variant, at very short notice, the Government has advised as follows:
“First Holy Communions and Confirmations should not take place at this time. Further advice will follow on the resumption of these ceremonies when it is safe to do so.” (gov.ie)
All celebrations of First Holy Communion and Confirmation 2020 and 2021 in the Diocese of Clonfert are to be postponed for the time being. Further advice will follow on the resumption of these ceremonies when it is deemed safe to do so.
We are deeply saddened by this situation and very much regret the disappointment this uncertainty brings to so many in our parish communities.
